Introduction to Chocolate


What is chocolate, exactly? Where does it come from? How is it made?

Learn the answers to these questions in our two-hour Introduction to Chocolate course. 

You will learn about single-origin chocolate via a presentation on farming and processing methods followed by a tasting of bars from around the world. Like coffee and wine, chocolate flavors vary greatly depending where cacao is grown.  

Then we'll share our chocolate making process with machine demos and tastes at each step of the way from bean to finished chocolate bar. 

Space is limited to eight to ten participants at our commercial kitchen on Queen Anne. Minimum number of participants is four. While content is geared toward adults, guests aged 12-15 are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
